EnviroStor

EnviroStor is DTSC's public environmental-record system. Its records are source facts that require property and project review.

EnviroStor is the Department of Toxic Substances Control's public environmental-record system. The public export includes named cleanup, hazardous-waste, and institutional-control layers. An EnviroStor record is an agency-source fact to review against the property and project.

Why it matters

EnviroStor can identify a DTSC program record that may be relevant to a property review under the Cortese List framework. Retain the layer, record identifier, source date or version if provided, access or query date, and the method used to compare the record with the property. That information lets a reviewer reopen the same agency source.

What it does not establish

A returned EnviroStor record does not establish parcel inclusion, current site conditions, the project's relationship to the record, or CEQA significance. No record returned from EnviroStor does not establish that no condition exists or that other section 65962.5 source categories do not require review.
